Not taking the plane today -- sorry for the last minute notice. Unfortunately, the booking system won't let me canx a booking that has already passed the start time.

Not taking the plane next two days. I don't know how I double booked the plane today and tomorrow, and I can't delete it. I checked the website from work and it showed no one on the schedule, and it allowed me to book the plane.....strange. When I checked it from my iphone it showed it was down for repairs both days, and I was doubled booked. I tried to delete it, or change it and now it is just stuck.... sorry. I am aware it is not available, and if it is I am not flying it.

Sat June 26

Disassembled the winch.
Removed destroyed cable.
Installed 70 feet of new 1/8 in steel cable.
Straightened (best I could) the housing.
Reinstalled puck and hook.

Please keep 5 pounds or more of tension when unloading the cable.

Please keep 5 pounds or more of tension and, always observing, lead the cable to travel the full width or the drum then return fairly all the way when retracting.

If cable bunches, or fouls, Please stop before you kink or bruise the cable! Unload the cable and rewind fairly.

Expensive repair ($85 and 3 hrs) and uphill pushing of aircraft can thus be avoided.

Darn. The clouds and rain showed up just as I finished.

Happy flying to all.

The plane should be back on line later today. Glen is installing a new strobe on the vertical stabilizer today.
The cost is estimated for parts is around $500.00 plus labor
